Summer’s are for Bright yellow chairs with Wayfair Canada

Today’s post I wanted to share is all about my Summer’s are for Bright yellow chairs with Wayfair CanadaSummer 2016 was the first full summer in my new home. Which means we put in lots of work to make it just how we like it. My front porch isn’t the biggest, but I promised myself this summer that I would find a way to make it look pretty without spending too much money. After a little bit of thought and online browsing I managed to do a Front Porch Refresh for under $200. I bought a few items and also reused some to make it a space that my family loved and enjoy over the summer. As well as the Fall season ahead.

I have always had a love for Adirondack chairs  depending on where you purchase yours the prices can very quite a bit. I mean a few hundred dollars up to just under a thousand. Keeping that in mind my goal for my front porch makeover was to not exceed my budget of $200. Mainly because I knew I had other home projects over the Summer to complete. In terms of Decor I also shopped around to find the best prices for items I needed and even manage to re-use nature too.

I had one goal in mind that was, to keep the space bright and colourful since it is the Summer. Can I tell you how difficult it is to decide on paint colours! I love colour and if I could wear every shade I would. Needless to say the task of finding a paint shade for my project was such a daunting task.

I forgot to mention, we chose to get a raw wood finish for the Adirondack chair because it cuts down the cost tremendously. As I had mentioned they can range anywhere from $60 all the way up to $1000.

Bright and Colourful spaces on a budget.

Since my chair was unfinished I didn’t have to worry about sanding it down to prepare for painting. To complete my project we went with the paint brand Valspar in the shade Sunspark (3010-2). The brightest Canary Yellow I could find.  I applied 1 coat evenly painting along with the grade of the wood and allowed it to dry. Which took about an hour since I was painting outside. I applied another coat and left it to dry as well.

For the decor pieces, I purchased the Cushion, and Glass lantern at Winners. The Cushion was on clearance for $14.99 Lattern $12,99. For the green Lantern I got that at a really good steal for $10 because it was missing the flameless candle.

The cost of the chair which we purchased from Wayfair Canada is part of the Atlantic Outdoor Collection which can be found here for $121.99 The paint was free!  The side table which is actually a log from a tree that was cut down.so in total we spent with taxes $180.76. What were some of your summer decor project you did this year? do you stick to your budget? Let me know in the comments below!

I must admit that yellow is not my most favourite colour. But it sure does look real bright and happy in the summer/autumn months. i like how you paired the yellow chair with the bright green cushion.

The yellow does add life to the chair and the whole thing. I love that you chose to add a throw pillow to compliment it even more. This whole DIY is awesome and it’s affordable as well!
