Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara
I ‘ve used a lot of mascaras, however none like the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara. When it comes to my makeup application mascara is an important item that I use daily. Even when I don’t want to put a full face of makeup on, Mascara is the safest way to get some sort of a polished look.
I recently received Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara for review and today’s post I will sharing my thoughts with you. Now as any beauty junkie out there we love pretty packaging, the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara is a gorgeous sophisticated hexagonal black tube, though on the heavy side its still pretty and worth having. The lash-volumizing formulation of 1800% is a deep black semi matte finished applied with a slight hour glass shape which reminds me somewhat of a silhouette of a woman’s body. The application itself was very smooth I was able to move the wand around to get precise application on my inner and outer lashes that I often miss and my lashes were coated evenly leaving them with a Jet black gel- like coat of product.
I loved that I was able to apply multiple layers without it clumping as long as I worked fast enough. The first time I wore the mascara I did apply it before applying my false lashes…. big mistake I experienced a little bit of flaking mainly because its so good that you can feel comfortable wearing your own lashes. I have to go back to the consistency of the mascara, it also reminded me of Blinc’s mascara which is a tubal mascara for the simple reason of how it washed away when cleansing my face. It was so easily removable that it almost made me forget that I had mascara on.
I will say the only thing that I didn’t like about the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara is that it didn’t curl my lashes very well. I have multiply layers of lashes that poke in all different directions, one being down and they didn’t stay up I assume because of the mascara’s consistency. The price point isn’t too bad either it retails for just under $30 which isn’t bad considering Marc Jacobs is a high end brand. Overall I love the mascara, the way it performs is perfect for the days where I am not putting too much effort into the makeup I am putting on days like Sundays where I mainly do errands and go to church. Would I purchase this? Honestly no because I am cheap lol and I wear false lashes most of the time so spending money on an expensive mascara just isn’t wise for me.
