Fashion Friday for Kids feat Carters/OshKosh

Today’s Fashion Friday for Kids feat Carters/Osh Kosh  is another simple outfit that I threw together for my youngest. Now that we are in the month of March, its time to do some Spring cleaning to get rid of the Winter clothes and replace them with the new Spring trends that are showcasing in stores currently. Osh Kosh is one of my favourite stores to shop in, ever since the kids were newborns, they have great prices, quality clothing that can be washed and dried without shrinking and their clothing sizes go all the way up to a size 10+.

I am slowly getting comfortable with the task of shopping, provided  I have a plan of what I am looking for so that I am in and out and on to the next store. Osh Kosh recently had alot of clothing on sale for 50% off and to be honest I couldn’t make up my mind on what to get because there were so many outfits to choose from. My youngest is growing pretty quickly so when I shop I always have a rule of thumb to shop bigger so that she can get a good wear out of her clothes. Pants for her seem to be the area that I have most difficulty with because shes very shapely for her age.

Comfort for her is very important, if it doesn’t fit right or if the sleeves aren’t a certain length she has no interest in wearing it. when I do end up shopping her input plays a factor to help with what I choose for her. I am head over heels in love with Faux Leather, Army green and Varsity type clothing so when I was able to put all of those items together to make an outfit I was really excited to show you all what I came up with. Now you know that I am all about creating outfits that can be dressed up or dressed more casually. What I loved most about this outfit was the little belt her cargo pants came with it reminded me so much of when I was a teen and I use to make embroidery bracelets. It was a cute addition to her outfit and balanced out her Tom boy look.

I paired her pants with a cute Varsity shirt where the number were made with sequins another perfect girly touch for her outfit. A couple years ago we had bought my son a Faux leather jacket that he also wore for the Spring, however now that he has outgrown it the youngest has taken it over as her own. Faux Leather is one of items that every person should have because it never get old. I needed a final touch for this look so I went with a pair of low cut sneakers that were black also to create a little more contrast and it worked out beautifully.

All new items that I purchased from Carters/OshKosh were $10 each which I think is a great, they normally have pretty good sales and alot to choose from so its worth it to take the extra time to look around because you almost always find something.
